In 1982 Mr. Duggin founded AV Consultants, Inc. (AVC) and developed it into a leading commercial insurance consulting, risk management and brokerage firm. He formed Consolidated Risk Services, Inc. (CRS) in 1992 and developed it into a leader in the area of alternative risk program management for workers compensation and other casualty line programs.
Mr. Duggin formed AV International, Inc. (AVI) in 1998 as a holding company for AV Consultants and Consolidated Risk Services, Inc. and as a vehicle to manage and direct the future expansion of his insurance services enterprise.
In 2000 Mr. Duggin founded AVI West Coast, Inc. to facilitate the expansion of AVI into California and other West Coast states. He is currently the majority stockholder and Chairman of the Board of AVI.
Additionally, Mr. Duggin serves as Director of AmeriChoice Corporation, one of the nation's premiere healthcare organizations operating in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey, specializing in managed care programs for Medicaid and Medicare programs. He has provided consulting support to AmeriChoice and has served on its board of directors since its inception in 1989.
Mr. Duggin is one of the nation's foremost experts in the design and development of managed care programs. Additionally, his expertise in the areas of reinsurance, client services, self-insurance and risk management is widely recognized.
Mr. Duggin is known for his philanthropy to a variety of educational and cultural institutions in the Philadelphia area and elsewhere. He is a member of the Barnes Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of education and the appreciation of the fine arts; serves on the National Constitution Center Board; serves on the Board of Trustees for the Jazz at the Lincoln Center; a member of the James Madison Council of the Library of Congress; a supporter of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts; and was recently recognized with the "Good Scout Award" by the Boy Scouts of America and honored by the Women's Christian Alliance in Philadelphia, PA at the Diamond Award Ball.
Andre Duggin graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
