Open Captioning
Open captioning is available at select performances of the Broadway at the Academy series at the Academy of Music.
Open captioning allows performing arts patrons to read the words that are spoken or sung in the theater across a screen that scrolls the text. The screen is placed on the side of the stage and is visible to all patrons seated near it, providing a service for the hearing audience as well as the deaf or hearing-impaired. Call 215-893-1999 for more information and Open Caption performance dates.
